Dashboard & Daily Use

The dashboard is the owner’s control center. It should show what WatchTower knows now, what changed recently, which locations are protected, which machines are online, which alerts need attention, and what paid features …

Guidebook

Use the owner dashboard to review reporting locations, machine status, visitor activity, security history, and the tools available under your active plan.

Reading the dashboard

Start with the overview, then open the relevant location, machine, visitor, security, or payment page for more detail. Available tools depend on your subscription and account permissions.

Use the available overview and account pages to review these items:

CardMeaning
Locations OnlineNumber of active protected locations with recent terminal updates.
People SeenRecent avatar presence count, with freshness indicators.
AlertsOpen alerts or rules needing owner review.
Region HealthFPS, time dilation, lag score, and stale-data warnings.
SubscriptionPlan, paid-through date, included features, and location usage.
MachinesTerminal objects, Payment Stations, relays, and other WatchTower machines.

Freshness matters

Check the last-received or last-seen time beside a report. An old visitor count describes an earlier scan and does not establish who is present now.

Interpret freshness alongside the report timestamp:

StateHow to interpret it
Live / FreshReceived within the expected update window.
Recently seenSlightly delayed, likely still normal.
StaleNo recent update; terminal or region may be offline.
OfflineNo data for a longer period or token not active.
Needs reviewData exists but the system is unsure how to match it.

Command Center

Use the Command Center to review current reporting and decide what needs attention:

  • Which location needs attention?
  • Which alert fired?
  • Which avatar, if any, is involved?
  • Which rule triggered?
  • What action is recommended?
  • Is the action safe, available, and permission-supported?
  • Does a staff member need to review it first?

Actions from the Command Center use clear labels such as Warn, Kick, Block Here, Block Everywhere, Remove Block, Open Ticket, or View Logs.

Locations page

Review protected locations in the dashboard’s Locations section. Check the reported region, parcel, machine status, and last update against the place you intend to monitor. Review subscription coverage on Plans & Payments.

When reviewing a machine, check the available details for:

  • Location name
  • Region
  • Parcel
  • Online/stale/offline state
  • People seen recently
  • Region health
  • Active machine count
  • Last update
  • Plan usage state
  • Actions

Machines page

The Machines page is the technical inventory of WatchTower objects. It helps owners and support identify terminals, payment stations, chat relays, or other WatchTower parts.

Use the last heartbeat and administrative status to interpret machine availability. An active machine is online for ten minutes after its last heartbeat, then offline.

StateMeaning
OnlineActive machine with a heartbeat received within ten minutes.
OfflineNo heartbeat within ten minutes, no recorded heartbeat, or an inactive administrative status.
DisabledThe machine has been administratively disabled.

Alerts page

Review the relevant dashboard pages when a machine stops reporting, a payment needs review, region performance drops, or a security action fails. Check subscription coverage and the last-received timestamp before taking action.

When investigating an alert or event, check the available details for:

  • Title
  • Severity
  • Location
  • Time triggered
  • Last update
  • Rule or source
  • Recommended action
  • Current state: open, acknowledged, muted, resolved, or escalated

Demo site

Open the public demo at flarocity.net/demo without signing in or connecting a terminal. Its locations, identities, markers, events, and telemetry are labeled sample data and are separate from customer accounts.

Good demo examples:

  • One online store location
  • One stale club location
  • A few visitor rows
  • A sample region-health card
  • A sample alert rule
  • A sample billing status
  • A sample Payment Station event
  • A sample Discord alert preview

Daily owner workflow

For a daily review:

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Confirm locations are online.
  3. Check open alerts.
  4. Review recent visitors or watched avatar events if needed.
  5. Confirm region health is normal.
  6. Check the active subscription tier if any feature is locked.
  7. Respond to support tickets or staff notes.

Even when no alert needs attention, confirm that the expected machines are online and their reports are recent.
